Getting Started
Set up RadialZ in 6 steps
Do this once to connect RadialZ to ZBrush. After that, everything is automatic. Step through the cards below with the arrows or dots.
Step 1 of 6
The plugin installs itself
RadialZ installs its bridge plugin the moment it launches, and tells ZBrush where to find it automatically. Open Settings → ZBrush Setup and check the ZBrush Plugin status is green. If it isn't, click Reinstall.
Step 2 of 6
Restart ZBrush
Restart ZBrush so it picks up the new plugin. Once it reopens, you should see ZPlugin → RadialZ in the menu, with three buttons: Load Brush, Sync Library, and Check Connection.
Step 3 of 6
Assign the Bridge hotkey in ZBrush
In ZBrush, hold Ctrl+Alt and click ZPlugin → RadialZ → Load Brush. We suggest Alt+J, it is rarely used and unlikely to clash. RadialZ fires this silently every time you pick a brush. You never press it yourself.
Step 4 of 6
Record that hotkey in RadialZ
Open Settings → ZBrush Setup → Bridge Hotkey in RadialZ, click Record, and press the exact same key you assigned in ZBrush. This links the two together.
Step 5 of 6
Set your Library hotkey
In Settings → ZBrush Setup → Library Hotkey, click Record and assign a key. This is the key that opens the floating Brush Library while you are sculpting.
Step 6 of 6 · Done
Sync your brushes
In ZBrush, run ZPlugin → RadialZ → Sync Library. This scans your brushes and builds the library. Re-run it any time you install new brushes. That is it, you are set up.

Troubleshooting
If something is not working
The most common issues and how to fix them.
⚠ Known issue
Pen pressure on the first stroke. After picking a brush with RadialZ, the very first pen stroke may not register full pressure. The stroke after it behaves normally, and a mouse is unaffected. This sits in the Windows pen input pipeline and is being worked on for an upcoming update. It does not affect the brush itself, only that first stroke's pressure.
